Welcome to the Dekstop SDK!

Simply install the MBT Dekstop and immediately begin coding your own strategies using the power of the individual Dekstop OCX controls and COM objects. Use any Microsoft COM-compatible development environment from Visual Studio version 6 up, including VBA in Excel. Please read these important Developer Notes and Release Notes.

You have full control over order management, quotes and account and balance information. Use the MBT Dekstop's stock UIs (OCX controls) or create your own to wrap the underlying order, quote and position COM objects.

Quotes - Pull any combination of Level I, Level II, options and tick data; bid, ask, last, sizes, previous close, and more, all in real time!
Order Management - Full order control; entry, changing, canceling, including the ability to pull a complete order history for the entire day.
Position and Account Management - Monitor your positions, account balances and buying power in real time.

Minimum Requirements for using the MBT Dekstop SDK:

Microsoft Windows 2000 or later on a PC with Internet Explorer version 6.0 or higher (preferred: Win XP Home or Pro with SP2 and all security updates).
The retail MBT Dekstop installed (no other installer or package is needed) and any fully Microsoft COM-compatible development language from Visual Studio version 6 and up, including VBA in Excel.
Sign up for a demo account to be used while developing and testing your application, and then open an account when you're ready to "go live."

This is a Non-Exclusive, Non-Transferable, Non-Disclosure, Non-Distribution Agreement ("Agreement") made by and between Manhattan Beach Trading, Inc. ("MBTI") and you ("YOU/YOUR").

MBTI is willing to provide to YOU its MBT Dekstop Software Development Kit and associated supporting documentation that is deemed Proprietary and Confidential Information ("SDK"), and YOU are willing to receive disclosure of the SDK, pursuant to the terms and conditions of this Agreement for the purpose of developing applications.

You agree that the SDK shall remain the property of MBTI, and that MBTI may use the SDK for any purpose without obligation to YOU. Nothing contained herein shall be construed as granting or implying any transfer of rights to YOU in the SDK, or any patents or other intellectual property protecting or relating to the SDK.

YOU agree not to share, disclose or redistribute the SDK, in whole or in part, to any other person or entity. YOU agree to take all steps reasonably necessary to protect the secrecy of the SDK, and to prevent the SDK from falling into the public domain or into the possession of unauthorized persons, with the possible exception of YOUR employees having a need for disclosure in connection with YOUR authorized use of the SDK, and also after such employees being made aware of this Agreement in its entirety.

YOU may only use the SDK to develop applications for use with the MBTI systems. YOU agree to provide MBTI with a fully released version of your application for testing and approval purposes.

YOU may not redistribute any data you receive from or via MBTI, including but not limited to streaming quotes and historical information, to any other person or entity.

YOU agree not to disassemble, decompile, reengineer, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the SDK, nor to modify the SDK with respect to proprietary marking, copyrighting, and/or original intended functionality as defined by MBTI, other than that granted by the Agreement.

YOU agree to comply with the terms governing the MBTI systems and with the MBTI Site Terms and Conditions available for view at http://www.mbtrading.com/.

YOU agree that it would be difficult to measure damage to MBTI from any breach by YOU of this Agreement and agree that MBTI shall be entitled to injunctive or other appropriate relief to restrain any breach of this Agreement without showing any actual damage sustained by MBTI. Additionally, no waiver of any breach of this Agreement shall constitute a waiver of any other breach of the same or other provisions of the Agreement and no waiver shall be effective unless made in writing.

YOU agree to indemnify and hold harmless MBTI for any claims, damages and/or liabilities of any nature relating to or arising out of your use of the SDK. MBTI provides the SDK "as is" and disclaims any and all representations and warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Under no circumstances shall MBTI be liable to YOU in connection with your receipt or use of the SDK.

You agree to keep current and to update promptly your contact information with us. If the contact information you provided to us changes, you may notify us via email and/or phone but agree to notify us also in writing to MB Trading, 1926 E Maple Ave, 1st Floor, El Segundo, CA 90245.

If a court of competent jurisdiction finds any provision of this Agreement invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of the Agreement shall nevertheless remain in full force and effect.

This Agreement shall be construed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of California without regard to principles regarding conflict of laws. You consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of the federal and state courts of the State of California and waive any objections thereto.
